Study trip - Akademiska Ingång 100
Today we had the pleasure of getting a guided tour of the University Hospital's Entrance 100 building by Ulrika Söderquist (now of Sweco), who was the structural engineer on the project.

A fantastic environment with lots of daylight for its staff and patients and very flexible in terms of the medical departments it serves.

Another amazing project designed by talented architects and engineers at White Arkitekter.

I'm halfway into my LIA internship at Sweco Architects, Uppsala and it absolutely exceeds my expectations! My supervisor Martin Hultén is an amazing teacher, I feel like I'm doing a good job, and I learn quickly.
I absolutely think I have made the right choice to study building engineering. Now I should be able to visualise, build and photograph... a great combo!
-
I got to learn of and was impressed with their efforts in creating sustainable  architecture🌱

What I have now learnt about BIM is that it is not just about how much information you load into your model... it's also about presenting the necessary information to the right parties.
I now also realise what I need to focus on in my final year and to give myself a break 😏 I had high expectations of myself but 10 years+ experience in the industry as a visualiser doesn't make me an instant byggnadsingenjör!

So thank you White Arkitekter. I really hope that the combination of engineering and visualisation will be an attractive factor for employers when it comes to recruitment. Please let me know your thoughts through the usual channels...
